Base to change commanders July 9 Published July 1, 2008 By 070108 GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Command of the 319th Air Refueling Wing will change hands July 9 during a ceremony here. Col. Diane Hull, the current commander, will be reassigned as the vice commander of the 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force, McGuire AFB, N.J. She will relinquish command of the wing during a morning ceremony to Col. John Michel who was most recently assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing, Charleston AFB, S.C. In her next assignment, Colonel Hull will serve as the vice commander of the 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force. The 21 EMTF is provides a rapid, tailored, world-wide, air mobility response to combatant commander's needs. Reporting through 18th Air Force, the EMTF will extend existing AMC infrastructure, through both en route employment and rapid forward deployment capabilities. The goal is to provide warfighting unified commanders an improved force presentation that meets our nation's global air mobility requirements. The 21 EMTF presents mission-ready command and control (C2), aerial port, aircraft maintenance and support personnel, as well as airlift, air refueling, aeromedical evacuation and airfield opening planning and execution expertise, to project and sustain combat forces worldwide.
