A B1-B Lancer from the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, flies above Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, Dec. 5, 2024. This was the first of 17 B-1Bs scheduled to temporarily relocate to Grand Forks AFB beginning this month. Ellsworth is the first base scheduled to receive the next generation bomber, the B-21 Raider, and the temporary relocation allows Ellsworth to complete a runway construction projection in preparation for its arrival.
