Altru paramedics Brittany Gierszewski and Val McDonald place psuedo Ebola-stricken, Master Sgt. Brian Fair, into a plastic protective covering in order to limit further exposure to the public and to safely transport him from an isolation treatment room to an ambulance waiting outside the Medical Treatment Facility on Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., Dec. 19, 2014. Medical personnel from both the 319th Medical Group and Altru Health Systems worked together during an Ebola Preparedness Exercise. Altru has the capability to isolate and care for suspected Ebola patients until test results were available. The base medical clinic is an outpatient facility, and does not have this capability.
