Containers such this one were placed at various locations on Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., in order to create collection points for a charitable joint-venture between the Air Force Staff Sergeants Association and the American Legion Post #6 from Grand Forks, N.D. Twining Elementary, the Base Honor Guard Building and the dining facility were among several locations that served as collection points for the more than 68,000 pop tabs collected by the Legionnaires and Warriors of the North.
