New treadmills
New treadmills are available for use at the Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., Fitness Center after being installed Oct. 3. Twenty treadmills were installed and dispersed between the gym's cardio room and parent & child area, and are equipped with audio, video and USB ports for personal streaming. NWS certifies Grand Forks AFB as StormReady
Grand Forks Air Force Base was recently certified as StormReady by the National Weather Service. The StormReady program is designed to help arm communities with the communication and safety skills needed to save lives and property before and during a severe weather event. StormReady helps community leaders and emergency managers strengthen local safety programs through advanced planning, education and awareness. Grand Forks AFB is currently the only military installation certified as StormReady in the state of North Dakota and one of three bases designated as such in the Air Mobility Command.
