General Norton Schwartz, Air Force Chief of Staff, addresses Airmen from Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D. during a visit to the base May 20 to 21, 2010. The general spoke to the Airman about their value as part of the Air Force team and mission and later addressed civic leaders at a summit showcasing the value and future of unmanned aerial systems at the base and in the Red River Valley.

The tree was donated to Grand Forks Air Force Base from the Air Force Real Property Agency as part of their “Trees Across America” campaign in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day.
