Firefighter challenge concluces National Fire Prevention Week
The trophy for the base commander’s annual firefighter challenge sits in the base gym Oct. 10, 2019, on Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. The challenge was part of National Fire Prevention Week, which was celebrated by the base community to bring more awareness to this year’s fire safety theme: “Not every hero wears a cape. Plan and practice your escape.” The 319th Civil Engineer Squadron’s three-man team won the trophy after completing six firefighting-themed strength challenges in less than two minutes.
