Why is working at AAFES important to you?

Serving the men and women of the military who fight for our freedoms every day has been a great experience for me. Working here at the Grand Forks Main Exchange has given me the opportunity to contribute toward their basic needs with the products we carry here at the Exchange.

What moment or accomplishment as an AAFES member are you most proud of and why?

Just being able to satisfy our customers on a daily basis is what I'm proud of the most, seeing the smile of satisfaction on a customer's face as they walk away makes me feel good about myself as a salesman.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Setting up displays in the store so that customers can get a feel for what they're interested in is pretty fun. Whether it's TVs, portable speakers, cameras, etc.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My family, I have a beautiful wife and two beautiful girls who inspire me to be the best man I can be every day.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?

All the open space that you see here. I'm a small town country boy so I really enjoy the country feel that's here in Grand Forks. Also, another great attraction to me and my family are the booming economy, low crime rate and great education for my kids.

Do you have any military service or does anyone close to you? If so, when did they serve?

My grandfather actually served in Vietnam. His stories and life lessons have inspired me to become a better person.
