Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?

Serving in the Air Force is important to me for multiple reasons. I feel a sense of honor and pride being able to serve in the world's greatest Air Force. I feel integral working in a career which is not only key to the Grand Forks Air Force Base mission, but to the global effort of the Air Force. It is a great privilege to be a part of this Air Force family.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?

An accomplishment as a Warrior of the North that I am most proud of would be a time when Col. Bauman first arrived to Grand Forks Air Force Base. I was tasked to be the main briefer for Col. Bauman's contracting immersion briefing. This topic was very important to the contracting office as well as the wing. As a result of this I was afforded the opportunity to represent the Warrior of the North in the U.S. Air Force Men's Rugby tryouts in Aspen, Colo.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The favorite part of my job would have to be my co-workers. I go to work feeling as if I never left home. We work efficiently and effectively to get the job done. The team work and camaraderie in the 319th Contracting Flight goes uncontested; we are a small but mighty unit.

Who or what inspires you and why?

The people who inspire me would have to be my family and friends. It inspires me knowing that they are proud of me as I am fighting for their comfort and security.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?

The first thing that made me think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place would boil down to one moment. This moment was when I first walked into the contracting office. The weather was getting cold but the office was warm. I immediately knew that this was where I was meant to be.
