Name: Rhonda Henneman

Duty Title: Director of Housekeeping

Time in federal service: 26 years as contractor

Hometown: Cadott, Wis.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Grand Forks Air Force Base has been my home for the past 27 years. Starting with being a dependent wife, living on the base to retirement and utilizing all the services the base provides. In all these years I have seen the base at its biggest and smallest. But no matter what the size everyone stationed here as well as the many retirees who stayed in the area have been through the doors of the clinic. My staff and I do our best to make sure it is clean and safe for each of them when they visit the clinic.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?
The accomplishment I'm most proud of is passing every inspection over the years with zero complaints or write-ups.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part is working with people every day. I love to help out anytime I can. I have an awesome staff that make my job easy to do.

Who inspires you and why?
My parents, George and Sue Debusman. Their family values and work ethics helped shape me into the person I am today. Their encouragement to do and be your best has always stuck with me. Hearing "how can we" instead of "you can't" is the positive encouragement I learned from them and try to pass it on.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
It was the closest base to home when my husband was active duty. After we were here for a while we realized it was an awesome place to raise our children. Now they are raising our grandchildren here.
