Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving is in the Air Force is important to me because it gives me a feeling of accomplishment. I like waking up every morning knowing that my job in security forces helps protect personnel living and working on Grand Forks Air Force Base along with providing security for personnel in a deployed environment.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?
The moments I am the most proud of since I have been in Grand Forks are earning my CCAF (Community College of the Air Force) degree in criminal justice and deploying to Al Udeid Air Base and Kandahar, Afghanistan, as part of a fly-away security team.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of being an alarm monitor is that I am the first person to receive an alarm at any of the protection-level resources and help dispatch patrols.

Who inspires you and why?
My great-grandfather, Robert Lee Moore, was an infantry staff sergeant in the Army and fought in World War II. As I was growing up I remember hearing stories about him traveling the world and sacrificing time with his family to fight for our freedom, which strongly influenced my decision to join the military.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
I like Grand Forks Air Force Base because it is a small base, which allows me to get to know my fellow Airmen better.
