Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?

Serving in the Air Force is important to me because I believe it can really mold you into a true role model and professional. Some of my best role models are those I have met in the Air Force, and it has been what drives me every day.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?
My most proud moment was sewing on staff sergeant. My mom came all the way to North Dakota in sub-zero-degree weather just to pin on my stripe.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is helping customers. The best part is when you realize how much of a difference you can make in someone's life by helping them through pay issues.

Who inspires you and why?
My mom has always been the one to inspire me. She raised three girls and worked multiple jobs to provide for us. Now that she has time, she is back in school and pursuing a master's of occupational therapy degree. She has always been a hard worker, and her dedication to her girls and her career has inspired me to be successful.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
The first thing I noticed about Grand Forks was how kindhearted and relaxed people are. I am used to people always rushing, and the kindness of the people in Grand Forks has definitely made it easier to adjust to a new place.
