Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important to me because it opened up educational opportunities that I wouldn't have had if I remained a civilian. Since joining the Air Force I have been working towards my Community College of the Air Force degree and would like to apply it towards a degree in occupational safety and health. The skills I've learned in my career field as well as the skills I've learned to become a better person will be with me for the rest of my life.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?
My proudest moment as a Warrior of the North would have to be on March 18, 2014, the day I became a father. When I first held Paisley and looked into her eyes, I was in awe that my wife and I had made such a beautiful little girl.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is seeing my skills progress as an equipment operator. Before coming into the Air Force I had little experience in operating a fork lift and small pieces of equipment. Now we are always being challenged and learning new things. No two jobs are the same.

Who inspires you and why?
My two biggest inspirations are my dad, Zebadiah, and my mom, Crystal. My dad has always told me you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to. My mom has taught me that whatever obstacles or challenges you have to overcome, there's always something to be gained. They have both helped make my positive attitude in life what it is today.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
The first thing that made me think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place was when I met everyone in my shop. They're all a bunch of good guys and hard workers. There's never a dull moment at the dirt boy shop.
