Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important to me because I wanted the chance to be a part of an elite force. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. I joined because I wanted to do bigger things then what I could do if I stayed at home. I also wanted to fill the shoes of those before me and join the never-ending fight to preserve our freedoms.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North/Spartan are you most proud of and why?
As a Warrior of the North, I am most proud that I am in the Knowledge Operations Management career field. Our career field split from the Knowledge Operations Management career field to become a new, independent field again. I am proud that I am breaking new ground with Administration and I know what we do now may change the field forevermore. It is exciting to remember that the sky is the limit in a new career field.

What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is knowing you have the freedom to enjoy the unique experience of other squadrons. I enjoyed being in the 319 Communication Squadron and learned a lot about their job, now working for the 319th Civil Engineer Squadron I get to see more of the broader picture of the Air Force, which only makes me better as an asset to the squadrons. I love the fact that I can be an Engineer here, but someday I might PCS to another new squadron at another base and take what I learned from civil engineer and communications career fields with me.

Who inspires you and why?
Everyone that I work with in my day to day work inspires me, but my main source of inspiration is my wife, Samantha. She inspires me to do better and be better in everything I do. I know when I am struggling she is there to remind me why I joined, and who I am doing this for.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks AFB is a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
The first thing that made me think Grand Forks AFB was a cool place was the fact it was a new place for me. That allowed me to view my time here as a new adventure and experience for my wife and I. I'm always excited to be somewhere new with my wife.
