Cadets commision from UND's ROTC detachment Published May 29, 2009 By Cadet Chad Kellum Reserve Officer Training Corp Detachment 610 GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The graduating Reserve Officer Training Corp class from University of North Dakota commissioned May 16. The class consisted of 11 eager cadets ready to move on and enjoy their new lives in the Air Force. The cadets will be awaiting their entry into the Air Force over the next few months, some of which are waiting on pilot class dates, others on navigator class dates, and still more waiting on the many Air Force Specialty Code jobs to become available. The ceremony consisted of the traditional oath of office, pinning of the gold bars, and for those that elected, the new lieutenant's first salute. The guest speaker for this momentous occasion was Mr. Robert Concannon, husband to Col. Kathleen Concannon, commander of the 319th Medical Group at Grand Forks Air Force Base.
