Rank and name: Tech Sgt. Michael Groesbeck

Unit: 319th CPTS

Time in service: 12 years , 1 months

Hometown: Springfield, MO

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
It starts with a sense of duty to my country and ends with doing all I can to keep the country I love free for my children and children's children.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?
I don't take the credit, as all of my accomplishments are a result of those I work with. Without their support I would not be able to accomplish what I have. I'm proud of my team, both those I work with and those who work for me.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Taking care of people.

Who inspires you and why?
My family. My children have the spunk and tenacity that one can only hope to have. I am equally amazed at how intelligent and yet how very humble all four of my children are. My wife inspires me with her courage and commitment to serve her country, be a devoted and loving mother and all while supporting my aspirations.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a cool place other than the temperature or weather?
I do enjoy the North Dakota winters, however the fishing and the local community are what make this a great place to live.
