The 319th Reconnaissance Wing Community Strengths and Themes Assessment officially opened for responses Jan. 1, 2025.

The CSTA is a Department of Defense tool that allows base leadership and helping agencies to capture the ‘pulse’ of the community through an online questionnaire that is conducted every two years.

The 319th RW Integrated Resilience Office is the lead agency for the CSTA, and they are charged with creating an annual Community Integrated Primary Prevention plan to address top health, safety and welfare concerns for service members, civilian employees and family members on Grand Forks AFB.

This prevention plan is a compilation of data-driven decisions and data-informed activities that span across every helping agency on the installation.

“The CSTA is a new initiative for Grand Forks AFB, this will be the first year we’ve used this survey,” said Anna Ojczyk, prevention analyst for the 319th RW IRO. “This survey is unique because it captures data from service members, DoD civilians and other civilian populations. Right now, the annual DEOCS is the primary survey tool we have to rely on, but it has a much more narrow, tailored focus than the CSTA does. I’m excited to see what information we gather from our family members and retirees on the installation.”

The CSTA is open to all military personnel, regardless of status, associated with and stationed at Grand Forks AFB, as well as their adult family members, DoD civilian employees, retirees and veterans who access the base for services.

“The Grand Forks AFB community takes quality of life issues seriously, and we look at every avenue to address community concerns,” said Col. Tim Monroe, commander for the 319th RW. “Our primary prevention professionals work tirelessly to ensure our base is safe, inclusive and supportive. I encourage everyone who is eligible to participate in the CSTA so they have the information they need to channel their efforts to address the top concerns of every member of our community.”

The CSTA is open Jan. 1, 2025, and runs until March 31, 2025, and can be accessed here: https://phpubapps.health.mil/Survey/se/2511374535E0886E
