"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail"
- Benjamin Franklin

While the end of the fiscal year seems far into the future, the time for early preparation and planning is upon us. Before we know it, there will be meetings held to prioritize unit requirements in support of our mission here. The 319th Contracting Squadron stands ready to partner with you to ensure the proper acquisition planning, market research and compliance with Federal Acquisition Laws/Regulations is successfully accomplished. Basically, we want to make sure your "stuff" is ready to buy during the fiscal year end rush.

Once the requirement is prioritized and approved through the proper channels, you should start working with Contracting on the purchasing process. Provided below are the cut-off dates for submitting FY07 purchase requests to contracting:

Jun 29: All contemplated and requirements with design (including furniture) at
any dollar amount.
Aug 1: All contemplated and requirements without design $25K - $5M
Aug 31: All funded requirements without design <$25K

If a unit does not submit the requirement by the dates outlined above, the overall acceptance of the purchase requests is "case-by-case" based upon the complexity of the requirement and year-end workload demand. Please work closely with your resource advisors and unit leadership teams on prioritizing and defining your requirements.

We look forward to supporting the Warriors of the North on another successful fiscal year end. Please contact Graham Pritchett at 747-5256 or Queen McCartney at 747-5273 with specific questions about your acquisition.
