Don't lose network access Published June 28, 2007 By Tech. Sgt. Kory Sola 319th Communications Squadron GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The fiscal year 2007 Air Force Federal Information Security Management Act requires that all Department of Defense personnel complete the 2007 Information Assurance computer based training module by July 31. Users that don't complete the training risk losing network access. This mandatory training must be completed by all network users including military, civilian and contractors. The training module can be accessed by logging into the Air Force Portal and clicking on the Advanced Distributed Learning System link. Then click "Course List" and "Ancillary Training" links to access Information Assurance 2007. It is very important to ensure your profile in ADLS has your current duty email and duty location for proper course credit. The 2006 IA course expires July 31 and does not count toward FISMA requirements. If you have any questions, please contact your unit information systems security officer, group enterprise information management office or the Information Assurance office at 747-6158.
