Base disciplinary actions Published July 5, 2007 319th Air Refueling Wing Legal Office Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D. -- The base's legal office has released the following list of disciplinary actions taken on Grand Forks AFB. Articles 15 - A staff sergeant from the 342 Recruiting Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty. Specifically, the member told a recruit to lie on their enlistment paperwork. The punishment consisted of forfeiture of $450 pay per month for two months. - A senior airman from the 319 Civil Engineer Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to go. Specifically, the member did not report to squadron physical training as directed. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman first class, suspended for six months, forfeiture of $864 pay per months for two months, suspended for six months and 45 days extra duty. - An airman first class from the 319 Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 for failure to go. Specifically, the member did not report to work on time. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman, suspended for six months, restriction to base for 30 days and a reprimand - A captain from the 319th Medical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for false official statement, conduct unbecoming and fraternization. The punishment consisted of forfeitures of $2,301 pay per month for two months, that portion in excess of $1,500 suspended for six months. - An airman from the 319th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for driving under the influence of alcohol. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, suspended for six months and 30 days extra duty with 15 days suspended for six months. - A senior airman from the 319th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty. Specifically, the member infected a government computer with a virus and never reported it to his computer support administrator. The punishment consisted of forfeiture of $100 pay per month for two months and a reprimand. - A senior airman from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for incapacitation for duties. Specifically, the member was unable to perform duties because the member was still intoxicated from prior alcohol consumption. The punishment consisted of reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $400 pay, that portion in excess of $100 suspended for six months and a reprimand. - A senior airman from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for incapacitation for duties. Specifically, the member was unable to perform duties because the member was still intoxicated from prior alcohol consumption. The punishment consisted of reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $500 pay and a reprimand. - A staff sergeant from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for incapacitation for duties. Specifically, the member was unable to perform duties because the member was still intoxicated from prior alcohol consumption. The punishment consisted of reduction to senior airman, forfeiture of $600 pay, that portion in excess of $200 suspended for six months and a reprimand. - A senior airman from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for driving under the influence of alcohol. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman first class and a reprimand. - An airman from the 319th Mission Support and Services Squadron received an Article 15 for driving under the influence of alcohol and underage drinking. The punishment consisted of a reduction to airman basic, forfeiture of $650 pay per month for two months, 45 days restriction to Grand Forks AFB, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand. - A technical sergeant from the 934th Civil Engineer Squadron, Minneapolis, Minn., received an Article 15 for the wrongful use of marijuana. The punishment consisted of a reduction to staff sergeant and forfeiture of $1,291 pay. Involuntary discharges - An airman from the 319th Logistics Readiness Squadron received a general discharge for minor disciplinary infractions - A senior airman from the 319 LRS received an honorable discharge for mental disorders - An airman basic from the 319th Mission Support and Services Squadron received a general discharge for minor disciplinary infractions. - An airman basic from the 319th Maintenance Squadron received a general discharge for minor disciplinary infractions. - An airman from the 319th Comptroller Squadron received an honorable discharge for failure to progress in upgrade training. - An airman first class from the 319th Contracting Squadron received a general discharge for drug abuse. - An airman first class from the 319th Civil Engineer Squadron received an honorable discharge for mental disorders. Court-martial Airman Basic Edward Hammock, assigned to the 319th Operations Support Squadron, was convicted of aggravated assault by a general court-martial with members. The adjudged sentence was 15 months confinement and a bad conduct discharge.
