Have you driven to work and thought, "I think we could do things better at work?" If so, then you can help make the base better by joining the Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century team. We are looking for your good ideas on wasteful processes and creative solutions to fix them using AFSO21 tools and techniques.

AFSO21 is an Air Force initiative to "lean" our processes in order to get rid of any form of waste (defects, overproduction, waiting, non-standard over processing, transportation, injury, motion and excess inventory). We do this by using several tools employed by civilian companies to make their processes leaner and more profitable. To do this at Grand Forks AFB, Col. Diane Hull needs squadron points of contact who can take the ideas floating around their respective squadron and funnel them up to leadership and the AFSO21 office.

If you're the type of person who is always asking, "Why do we do it this way?" or "We could do this better," contact Maj. Pat Day or Master Sgt. Dan Puckett at 747-6093 extension 4931 or e-mail at afso21@grandforks.af.mil.
