All enlisted members eligible for the Weighted Airman Promotion System test over the next 12 months should review the WAPS Catalog dated Aug. 1, 2007. The WAPS Catalog is published every year in August. The WAPS eligibility chart can be found on the Air Force Personnel Center's Web site. While the distribution of WAPS career development courses is primarily automated, eligible members play a key role in ensuring the system functions properly. Ultimately, the responsibility for obtaining the required study references still rests with the eligible member. Each year, an initial issue of CDCs is provided to members when they become eligible for promotion to the next higher grade for the first time.

August - Members are identified who meet criteria.
October/November - military personnel flight receives and forwards CDCs.
December - Members who should have, but did not receive CDCs should contact MPF promptly.

Remember, it is your personal responsibility to know when you are eligible to test for promotion and ensure you obtain the study references you need to be prepare for promotion testing on the first day of the testing cycle. You must check the WAPS Catalog every year to ensure currency of all required study reference material. Any questions contact Staff Sgt. Cocoa Davis, promotions, at 747-5655 or Marvel Molina, military testing office at 747-6677.
