On-street parking is authorized on most roadways except where not Air Mobility Command approved or prohibited by Grand Forks AFB Pamphlet Supplement 1, Attachment 1, Rules of the Road, to Air Force Regulation 125-14. This supplement has detailed information on authorized/unauthorized parking areas. During the winter months, the 319th Mission Support Group commander or her deputy can implement the winter parking plan, which allows you to park your vehicle on the grass adjacent to your quarters. This allows for easy cleaning of the streets. When the winter parking plan is implemented all street parking is temporarily prohibited. Note: The winter parking plan does not pertain to quarters constructed or renovated after 1999. Additional garage stalls and or driveway space has been constructed for this purpose. These plans are for your benefit so please cooperate when they are implemented. As with most plans, it is not a 100 percent solution to the problem, and its effectiveness depends upon the full cooperation of everyone. Violators who park in other than approved areas will be ticketed. Second and subsequent tickets may result in suspension of on-base driving privileges of progressively increasing duration. Report all traffic tickets to your unit/group first sergeant.

Prohibited areas are as follows:
* Yellow curbs
* On grass, seeded or dirt areas
* Within 10 feet of a crosswalk or 15 feet of a fire hydrant
* Red painted lines or posted signs
* Recreational vehicles are not allowed to be parked permanently in the housing areas. Designated parking for recreational vehicles is located on the north side of the base near the horse stables.

Visitors and additional vehicles must be parked in unassigned available space. Be reasonable and considerate and talk to your neighbor when problems or misunderstandings occur. Do not park automobiles, motorcycles, house trailers, utility trailers, campers or boats on lawns or common grounds in the housing area. All base housing occupants are required to register their recreational vehicles. There are designated parking spots located at outdoor recreation for boats, small trailers, campers, hobby vehicles and other similar recreational items. This parking area is located north of the riding stables and is strictly patrolled by law enforcement. The spaces are allocated on a first come basis. If all spaces are allotted, the applicant's name will be put on a reservation waiting list. Temporary parking of these vehicles is authorized at your quarters for loading or unloading, one day before and after planned use.
