TRICARE Enrollment, DEERS Updates Online

TRIWEST --  The birth of a newborn, preparing for retirement, enrolling family members in TRICARE Prime, all of these tasks are woven into the new TRICARE Beneficiary Web Enrollment Web site.

TRICARE's new BWE site allows eligible servicemembers to enroll into TRICARE Prime and also update their Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System information anytime, anywhere.

How it Works
Sponsors may set up access accounts (https://sso.dmdc.osd.mil/famAcctMgr) for individual family members, allowing each member to log in, view and update enrollment information. To use BWE, the sponsor must have a valid certified common access card (www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl/owa/home) or Defense Financial and Accounting Services myPay PIN (https://mypay.dfas.mil).

Handling major life events like retirement, marriage, and a new child are enough to keep any family occupied; the sponsor can use the BWE Web site to make changes to the family's TRICARE Prime enrollment. The new "Life-changing Events" section on www.triwest.com explains how to make sure the TRICARE coverage changes along with the beneficiary.

Through www.triwest.com, TRICARE West Region beneficiaries have access to additional features to check claims, authorizations and referrals, eligibility and other health insurance information. Beneficiaries may choose to log in or register from the www.triwest.com home page. An interactive demo is available to walk visitors through the quick and painless registration process.

Once logged on, beneficiaries can locate forms, search for providers, or set up automatic payments with ease. QuickAlert e-mail notifications eliminate the wait for patients waiting for a green light on an authorization or referral.
