Paul Croxon 319th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The 319th Civil Engineer Squadron, 319th Security Forces Squadron and Airmen assigned to each, were recently recognized for eight Air Mobility Command-level awards. The 319 CES won first place in two categories; the Brig. Gen. Archie S. Mayes Award given for the best Air Force civil engineer engineering flight, and the Chief Master Sgt. Ralph E. Sanborn Award given for best fire protection flight. In addition to the squadron awards, the base won first place for two environmental awards; the Natural Resources Conservation Management Award (small base) and the Environmental Quality Award (non-industrial). Additionally, Mr. Brian Blake, a 319 CES electrician, won first place in the Outstanding Civil Engineer Civilian Technician category. The security forces squadron also garnered recognition from the major command winning one first-place individual award and second place for two individual awards. Capt. Bruce Rolando, 319 SFS, won the award for Outstanding Security Forces Air Reserve Component (IMA) Company Grade Officer Award. The runner up for the Elizabeth Jacobson Award for Expeditionary Excellence was won by Airman 1st Class Betsy Stafslien, 319 SFS. Senior Airman Christian Garcie, 319 SFS, was runner up for the Outstanding Security Forces Flight Level Airman Award.
