Community groups can raise funds for their worthy causes while spreading some holiday cheer as the Base Exchange is actively soliciting partners for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service's annual community gift wrap program.

"Our research confirms what we've long suspected; exchange shoppers are time stressed," said Pat Fields, Grand Forks AFB BX manager. "In order to make the holidays a little easier, we partner with local groups to ensure gifts purchased at the exchange are wrapped up before they even leave the store. Beyond offering a one-stop solution for busy military shoppers, this effort also helps raise hundreds of dollars for local military support initiatives."

During peak holiday seasons, the BX sets up tables and provides supplies that community volunteer groups can use to wrap gifts in exchange for donations. Organizations interested in taking part in the community gift wrap program during the upcoming holiday season should contact Pat Fields or Sue Humphress at 701-594-5542 for information on scheduling a time to participate.
