The 319th Security Forces Squadron, the 319th Civil Engineer Squadron and the 319th Contracting Squadron changes of command ceremonies took place July 6, 8 and 10, respectively.

Maj. Jereme Barrett formally assumed command of the 319 SFS from Lt. Col. Resti Andin.

As commander of the 319 SFS, Colonel Andin was responsible for maintaining 112 world-wide deployable positions and oversaw law enforcement, criminal investigations, military confinement, military working dog and combat arms services.

Prior to this assignment, Major Barrett commanded Detachment 2, Headquarters Air Force Security Forces Center, where he was responsible for a multi-specialty Air Force organization supporting the Department of Defense corrections mission at the regional correctional facility.

Major Barrett has also served as the HQ AFSFC executive officer, a non-lethal weapons branch chief and as an assistant operations officer for two large security forces units.

Major Barrett commented that he looks forward to continuing what has already been established and accomplished, and he hopes for the 319 SFS to continue to excel in the future.

Lt. Col. Gregory McClure relinquished command of the 319 CES to Lt. Col. Mark Zimmerhanzel.

As commander of the 319 CES, Colonel McClure was responsible for all real property, fire protection, disaster preparedness, environmental and housing services to more than 3,500 assigned personnel. Colonel McClure also maintained an annual budget of $40 million.

"I am amazed to see the hard work and dedication you put in to solve somebody else's problem--to make a difference in their lives," said Colonel McClure reflecting on the airmen of the 319 CES.

Before this assignment, Colonel Zimmerhanzel's previous assignments include being a construction inspector, a design engineer, the chief of quality assurance flight, command housing programmer and executive to the civil engineer headquarters, the air program manager and special assistant to the civil engineer, chief of operations flight, commander of the 312th Training Squadron at Goodfellow AFB and the chief of programs integration branch and directorate of installations and mission support.

"It's an honor and privilege to be the commander of the 319 CES," said Colonel Zimmerhanzel. "I look forward to working with each and every one of you over the next two years."

Maj. Brett Harry relinquished command of the 319 CONS to Maj. Roy Thrailkill.

As commander of the 319 CONS, Major Harry is responsible for the acquisition support of Grand Forks AFB, Cavalier Air Station, N.D. and the KC-135R aircraft assigned to this wing.

"What truly made this assignment amazing is the people of the contracting squadron, it has been a pleasure serving you," said Major Harry in his last remarks to the members of his former squadron.

Prior to this assignment, Major Thrailkill was a construction flight commander, chief of programs management branch, chief of contract readiness, chief of logistics and services section, and commander of the 380th Expeditionary Contracting Squadron, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates.

"To the men and women of the contracting squadron, I look forward to working with you all," said Major Thrailkill.
