Michael Longoria 319th Air Refueling Wing GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Eleven Airmen from the 319th Air Refueling Wing received their Airman Leadership School diplomas during a graduation ceremony Sept. 24 at the Northern Lights Club here. Class 09-G, whose motto was "Where We Lead... Others Will Follow," is the latest group to complete the five-week course. ALS is a program designed to develop Airmen into effective front-line supervisors with focus on developing leadership abilities as well as effective communication. Recent ALS graduates include: Senior Airman Jereme J. Brown, 319th Communications Squadron Senior Airman Samantha K. Converse, 905th Air Refueling Squadron Senior Airman Jonathan M. Fleming, 905th ARS Staff Sgt. Bryan K. Holcomb, 905th ARS Senior Airman Edith V. Lozano, 319th Medical Support Squadron Staff Sgt. Daron M. Williams, 319th Security Forces Squadron Senior Airman Mathew S. Cepero, 10th Space Warning Squadron Senior Airman Jacqueline R. Cornell, 319th CS Senior Airman Phillip M. Green, 319th Civil Engineer Squadron Senior Airman Joseph A. Lehmann, 319th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Senior Airman Ingrid M. Mueller, 319th Force Support Squadron Class 09-G also boasted three award recipients. Airman Williams took home the Commandant Award and Sergeant Holcomb received the Academic Achievement Award. In addition, Airman Converse earned the class's highest honor, the John L. Levitow Award. The Levitiow Award is presented to the student who demonstrates both outstanding leadership and scholastic qualities. The award selection is based on overall performance evaluation and academic ranking as well as peer and staff ratings.
