23Airmen from the 319th Air Refueling Wing and local Grand cities volunteers, raised the first wall of a new Red River Valley Habitat for Humanity build, May 1.

This Habitat for Humanity house is being built for single mother Anna Sepeda and her three children.

"I want to thank everybody for helping build this home," said Ms. Sepeda addressing the volunteers at the build site.

This build is considered a women's build, where women take the lead on the projects. It serves as an opportunity for women to learn leadership and construction skills.

"It's good for female Airmen to come out and help support the community," said Staff Sgt. Elizabeth Fuller, 319th Operations Support Squadron and the Grand Forks AFB team lead for the build.

The Airmen volunteers will work alongside community volunteers Monday through Saturday over the next three to four weeks to complete the house for Ms. Sepeda and her family. 20 to 30 Airmen will be involved on each shift of the build.

"I love volunteering and I feel this is a good opportunity for me to give back to the community," said Senior Airman Shay Corbett, 319th Civil Engineer Squadron and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.

The finished house will be 970 square feet with a driveway and a finished basement.

"I can't wait to move into our new home," said Ms. Sepeda.
