Every year during Memorial Day weekend, law enforcement agencies throughout the nation join forces for an enforcement blitz which delivers the message, "Click It or Ticket."
This mobilization is supported by national and local communities' paid advertising.

This year, North Dakota law enforcement officers and security forces members will be out in force during the next few weeks. Their focus will be traffic safety with an emphasis on seatbelts. The number of law enforcement agencies participating in this year's campaign has nearly doubled from last year. According to the North Dakota Department of Transportation, there are nearly 40 federal, state, county and municipal agencies participating in the state-wide effort.

A survey conducted by public opinion strategies found that 83 percent of Americans surveyed have seen, read or heard about the "Click It or Ticket" campaign. As further validation of its effectiveness, 81 percent of the public supports the effort.

"Click It or Ticket" is the most successful seatbelt enforcement campaign ever! It has helped create the highest-ever national seatbelt usage rate of 82 percent. Your law enforcement professionals ask that you do your part and make sure you and your vehicle occupants are buckled up. They also ask that you instill this practice into the minds of your children. Help reduce crash fatality rates and buckle up to save a life!
