McFarland 319th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Unit Voting Assistance Officers will be promoting voter registration and absentee ballots for uniformed service members and civilians overseas at the Fitness Center June 28 to July 1 and July 6 to 7. The Federal Voting Assistance Program work to encourage all citizens voting under the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act who have not registered or requested an absentee ballot to do so now. "The organizers of this event are happy to be able to offer these services to the members of the Grand Forks Air Force Base community" said 1st Lt. Steven Duckers, Unit Voting Assistance Officer. Commanders and UVAOs at Grand Forks AFB will be ensuring that all eligible citizens have the opportunity to participate in all upcoming voting opportunities. "We highly encourage everyone to stop by or talk to your Unit Voting Assistant Officers" stated Lieutenant Duckers.
