Jane Denton formally assumed command of the 319th Medical Group from Col. Kathleen Concannon, Aug. 5 during a change-of-command ceremony at the Northern Lights Club. As the commander of the 319th MDG, Colonel Concannon was responsible for the medical support and care for more than 2,000 base personnel and their families in a three-state area and overseeing more than 190 Airmen. "It has been my honor to serve as the 319th MDG commander," said Colonel Concannon in her final speech to her medics. Colonel Concannon's next assignment will be at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Colonel Denton, prior to this assignment, was the 81st Medical Operations Squadron commander at Keesler AFB, Miss. "I very much look forward to getting to know all of you and working with you for the next three years," said Colonel Denton.
