The Judge's Bench: October courts-martial and article 15's Published Nov. 9, 2010 By 319 Air Refueling Wing Office of the Staff Judge Advocate GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The following members of the 319th Air Refueling Wing were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice in October 2010: Courts-Martial · Airman 1st Class John Frame, 319th Communications Squadron, was court-martialed for introduction of cocaine onto a military installation and distribution of cocaine, vicodin, and oxycodone. He was also charged with illegal use of use of cocaine, vicodin, and oxycodone, and obstructing justice. Airman Frame pled guilty to all charges and specifications. A Military Judge imposed the following sentence: Bad conduct discharge, confinement for eight months, forfeiture of $964.00 pay per month for nine months, restriction to the limits of Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., for one month; and reduction to the grade of airman basic. · Airman 1st Class Jonathan Morrison was court-martialed for using and distributing vicodin. On Oct. 21, 2010, a panel of officer members found Airman Morrison guilty of the charge and both specifications. The panel imposed the following sentence: Bad conduct discharge, confinement for two months, forfeiture of $964.00 pay per month for two months and reduction to the grade of airman basic. Nonjudicial Punishment Actions · An airman first class from the 319th Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 for resisting arrest and reckless operation of a vehicle. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $500.00, suspended for six months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand. · An airman first class from the 319th Force Support Squadron received an Article 15 for soliciting the use of "spice" on two occasions. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of airman, suspended for six months, forfeiture of $250.00 for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand. · A senior airman from the 319th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for disobeying, disrespecting and assaulting a noncommissioned officer. The following punishment was imposed: 45 days extra duty. · A senior airman from the 319th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty for using his government travel card for personal purchases totaling $609.75. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of airman first class, suspended for six months, forfeiture of $300.00 and 45 days extra duty. · A staff sergeant from the 319th Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty for sleeping while on duty. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of senior airman and a reprimand.
