The Judge's Bench: January UCMJ actions

GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. --  The following members of the 319th ARW were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in January 2011:

Nonjudicial Punishment Actions
· An A1C from the 319 CS received an Article 15 for adultery and procuring a prostitute to engage in sexual intercourse. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of Airman Basic.

· An A1C from the 319 SFS received an Article 15 for the negligent discharge of a firearm. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of Airman (suspended for six months), 30 days of extra duty and a reprimand.

· An A1C from the 319 CS received an Article 15 for drunk driving. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of Airman Basic, restriction to Grand Forks Air Force Base for 30 days and a reprimand.

· A SSgt from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for drunk and disorderly conduct and unlawful entry. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of Senior Airman and forfeiture of $1,162 pay per month for 2 months (suspended for six months).

· A SSgt from the 319 AMXS received an Article 15 for assault consummated by battery. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of Senior Airman and forfeiture of $1,162 pay per month for 2 months (suspended for six months).

· A Colonel from the 319 MDOS received an Article 15 for fraternization, conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman, dereliction of duty and going from his appointed place of duty. The following punishment was imposed: Forfeiture of $4,667 pay per month for 2 months ($2,334 pay per month for 2 months suspended for six months) and a reprimand.
