GFAFB youth inspiration for local play Published April 5, 2012 By 319th AIR BASE WING PUBLIC AFFAIRS GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- "Deployed," a one-act play based on the experiences of military children from Grand Forks Air Force Base, will be performed April 13-14 in the Fire Hall Theatre in downtown Grand Forks. The play focuses on what it's like to have family members deploy with the military and was created with input from 7th- and 8th-graders from Twining Middle School. Kathy Coudle-King, Executive Director of the Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre, worked with the middle-school students last year after reflecting on the sacrifice military families make. Tickets are available at the door for $5 and proceeds will go toward future children's workshops. Refreshments will be served. The play is suitable for all ages and will take place at 7 p.m. each night in the theatre, located at 412 N. 2nd Ave., Grand Forks. Call 746-0847 for more information.
