Bulk item, compost pickup begins this month

GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Bulk item pickup for Grand Forks Air Force Base housing residents will begin April 16th and will occur the third Monday of every month.

Pickups will continue through September. After that, bulk item pickups will be performed once per quarter.

Compost pickup -- specifically, yard and wood waste -- will begin April 30 and will be collected every Monday through the end of October. Yard and wood waste items should be placed curbside (not on the street or gutter) and should weigh less than 50 pounds or be less than six feet in length. Items that do not meet these requirements will be not be picked up.

Please feel free to bring any bulk or compost items to the Recycle Center (Building 671) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Customer Complaint forms are also available at the Recycle Center and can be picked up during normal business hours. Contact the Government Quality Assurance Office at 701-747-4021 if you are not satisfied with the result of your complaint.
