319th Security Forces to host Police Week activities Published May 3, 2012 By 319th AIR BASE WING PUBLIC AFFAIRS GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D -- The 319th Security Forces Squadron has planned a host of activities to celebrate this year's Police Week, from May 14 to May 17. Activities include: Land Navigation Course competition: May 14, 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Meet at the north parking lot of the gym. Five teams of two people each will compete in the two-mile navigation course. There's a 1 hour 15 minute time limit for the course. Call Senior Airman Michael Montoya at 747-7689 to register. Open House: May 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Base Exchange. Demonstrations will include the military working dogs (3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.), night vision goggles and a weapons display. Various other gear and vehicles will be on display. Free Paintball Tournament: May 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the paintball range in the old Sunflake Housing Area. Sixteen teams of five people each will battle for the top honors. All paintball guns and ammunition will be provided. Contact Staff Sgt. Michael McCain at 747-4234 to register. Warrior's Challenge: May 16 at 3 p.m. in the pavilion on Eielson Street next to the softball fields. (Same location as Summer Bash). Bring the entire family for a great time. Police Week Shooting Competition: May 17 at 8 a.m.in Bldg. 652's training classroom. Ten teams of two-people each will test their shooting skills to try for the bragging rights of "Top Shot Team."
