Louisiana Street construction project begins June 4 Published June 1, 2012 GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Base residents are advised to use caution while driving on Louisiana Street during a construction project beginning June 4, 2012. The work area will extend from the Housing Office north to J Street, and the project is expected to last about 60 days. The roadway will be open to traffic at all times, except during new asphalt paving operations. However the public should expect delays while traveling through the work zone. Drivers are advised to slow to the posted speed and move to the proper lane as instructed by contractor safety personnel. There will be short durations of various intersection closures during construction; this will again cause delays for the public.
