The five suggestions are: Keep DEERS Updated Your Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) record is crucial to health care eligibility, no matter which TRICARE program you utilize. Make sure to log into milConnet - milconnect.dmd.mil - to update your address if it changes for more than 60 days. If you're moving, don't disenroll from TRICARE Prime, according to the release. You can transfer your enrollment if TRICARE Prime is available at the new location. Find more information at TRICARE.mil/moving. Get Routine Care at Home Make sure to catch up on routine health care - such as annual exams or immunizations - before leaving home. Know Your Urgent and Emergency Care Options Emergency care is covered for conditions that could result in loss of life, limb or sight; Urgent care covers issues requiring medical attention with 24 hours, such as a rising fever or sprain, according to the release.
