The Judge's Bench: November UCMJ actions

The following members of the 319th Air Base Wing were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in November 2012:

Nonjudicial Punishment Actions:

An airman first class from the 69th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for failing to go to their appointed place of duty at the time prescribed. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of airman, with reduction below airman suspended and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 319th Security Forces Squadron received an Article 15 for damaging government property and being drunk and disorderly. The following punishment was imposed: Reduction to the grade of airman suspended, forfeiture of $300.00 pay suspended, and a reprimand.

An airman first class from the 319th Security Forces Squadron had a portion of their suspended punishment vacated for driving while under the influence of alcohol. The following suspension was vacated: Reduction to the grade of airman.

Dependent Administrative Actions:

Three dependents of three different Senior NCOs from the 319th Communications Squadron, 69th Reconnaissance Group, and the 319th Civil Engineering Squadron, respectively, were involved in causing damage to government property in unoccupied base housing. For this incident the dependents received the following punishment: oral admonishment, complete a formal letter of apology to the Grand Forks AFB community to be published in various media outlets, cleaning the affected unoccupied areas, and affixing signs to the doors of all unoccupied houses on Grand Forks AFB.
