Medical Group Third Party Collection Program Could Save You Money Published April 4, 2013 GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Did you know that providing the 319th Medical Group with updated information concerning any additional health insurance coverage could save you money. For example, when receiving treatment in the MTF there is no associated co-pay, yet the clinic bills any additional health insurance carrier for the treatment provided. You have no out-of-pocket expenses and the medical care costs are paid by the insurance carrier directly to the clinic. If you are later referred to a network provider, any previous payment made by the insurance carrier will be credited toward your annual deductible. It is important to note, the obligation to pay medical care costs only applies to the insurance carrier. By law insurance policy rates cannot be raised or canceled because a claim was filed and you will not be billed or responsible for uncollected charges. Our Third Party Collections Program (TPCP) only works with accurate information on file, so help us help you. Non-active duty beneficiaries will be asked to verify their information during appointment check in with updates made to our automated system at that time. It takes only a few minutes and ensures all beneficiaries are informed and active program participants. Money earned through this program goes directly toward providing the highest quality patient care.
