GRAND FORKS AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. --

Grand Forks AFB Homes is proud to announce that one of its residents, Erin Parkes, has received funding for the 2021/2022 academic year through the Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation.

This scholarship will aid Erin in her pursuit of a degree in the field of her choice. The annual scholarship program is open to residents throughout the Balfour Beatty Communities’ portfolio, including 56 military housing communities throughout the United States.

The Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation scholarship program awards academic scholarships to residents living in an owned and managed Balfour Beatty Communities community who are attending, or plan to attend, an accredited higher education or technical institution. Scholarship recipients are evaluated on specific criteria, including academic achievement, demonstrated leadership skills and a dedication to being a positive influence within the local community.

Since the scholarship program’s inception in 2009, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation has awarded over 550 academic scholarships. The Foundation is also committed to honoring military service members – active, wounded, and fallen – by supporting organizations that assist military personnel and their families.
