Grand Forks Air Force Base's Company Grade Officer Council competed against more than 86 CGO Associations, and was selected as the Air Force CGOC of the Quarter.

The CGOC exists to provide opportunities for company grade officers to expand their knowledge of top-level decision making, grow in their leadership abilities and learn from other officer's examples.

"Our commitment to lead tough initiatives and resolve problems is unmatched as reflected by this Air Force level achievement," said Capt. Troy Cooper, CGOC president.

The CGOC has performed over 300 volunteer hours and raised over $10,000 for base events. Also, the CGOC planned and coordinated the Post-Operation Readiness Inspection Extravaganza where 1,500 personnel, families and friends celebrated the inspections accomplishments with food, games and giveaways.

"We have been doing an outstanding job at demonstrating a strong leadership focus and a phenomenal job arranging opportunities for CGO development as well as base and community involvement," said Captain Cooper.

This achievement will help create a strong platform to compete for the CGOC of the Year Award.
