Warriors of the North gathered at Liberty Square, June 10, to say good-bye and wish Chief Master Sergeant Scott Fuller, Command Chief, 319th Air Refueling Wing, good luck as he heads down range for a 365-deployment.

Chief Fuller has been the 319 ARW command chief since November 2008. During his time here, Chief Fuller helped advise on matters that affected over 1,600 enlisted Airmen. Chief Fuller also worked with the Grand Forks Military Affairs Committee to increase their budget by more than 30 percent than the previous year. Not only did Chief Fuller help the MAC but he also led more than 750 volunteers in laying sandbags during the 2009 Red River flood fight operations. In conjunction with his time spent at Grand Forks AFB, Chief Fuller helped the 319 ARW receive an excellent rating in the Nuclear Operations Readiness Inspection and an over-all outstanding rating during the ORI.

"Scott, you have done a fantastic job," said Col. Don Shaffer, Commander, 319 ARW.

Chief Fuller will be deploying as the command chief for a forward operating base.

"It's bittersweet," said Chief Fuller about leaving Grand Forks AFB. "This has been a great assignment."

Chief Fuller said he'll miss the people when he leaves this base.

"We get the people ready to go over there and I am looking forward to seeing how things translate over there," said Chief Fuller.

After Chief Fuller returns from his deployment, Chief Fuller said he is looking forward in seeing where the Air Force will put him next. Chief Fuller said that he and his family are ready to serve in any way the Air Force needs him.

Chief Fuller has been in the Air Force for 25 years and is originally from Moorhead, Minn.
