Logistics squadron gains new commander

Maj. Reynaldo Gonzalez, Jr. assumed command of the 319th Logistics Readiness Squadron from Maj. Robert Kielty during a change-of-command ceremony here June 23.

During his tour of duty at Grand Forks, AFB, Maj. Kielty was responsible for all supplies, fuel and equipment for the wing, and ensured all wing assets were ready and available for deployment in support of America's National Security Strategy.

"These two years at Grand Forks have been some of the greatest of my career and my life," said Maj. Kielty. "We have truly enjoyed this assignment and what this base and community have to offer. Your [LRS personnel] service, integrity and excellence are what make the mission happen, so thank you for all that you do each and every day."

Maj. Kielty's next assignment will take him to Scott AFB, Ill., where he will take command of the 436th Supply Chain Operations Squadron.

Maj. Gonzalez attended the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Ala. prior to his assignment at Grand Forks AFB. He studied curriculum relating to National Security Studies, Leadership in Warfare, Joint Air and Space Operations and Air, Space and Cyberspace Power. He has completed numerous LRS assignments both in the United States and abroad during multiple deployments to England and Afghanistan.

"I am honored and privileged to both serve you and serve with you," said Maj. Gonzalez. "As the newest Warriors of the North, my family and I are ready to 'Bring It'!"
