The 319th Force Support Squadron hosted another successful and entertaining Super Bowl Extravaganza event here Jan. 21.

More than 500 Airmen, friends and family filled up J.R. Rockers and the Northern Lights Club for the event, where approximately $38,000 worth of autographed helmets, jersey, photos and footballs were given away via raffle ticket drawings.

Eight games of bingo were played throughout the evening, with the first seven paying out cash prizes ranging from $100 to $300. The winner of the eighth and final game of bingo was given the option to take an all expenses paid trip to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis or $5,000 cash.

It was a night of firsts as three winners simultaneously hit "bingo" on their cards of the final game and had the option of playing a sudden death round to determine an outright winner or splitting the cash between them.

Grand Forks locals Chad Johnson and Donovan Mitchell, along with Thomas Lenning of Brookings, S.D., decided to split the $5,000 payout evenly three ways.

The event marked the 6th consecutive year the base has hosted the SBE and the 2nd straight year the cash prize was preferred to a trip to the Super Bowl.
