Time in service: 4 years 9 months

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?

Serving in the AF is important to me because it's selfless. We're all dedicating time to something bigger than ourselves.

What moment or accomplishment as a Warrior of the North are you most proud of and why?

This is my first base, so I have a lot that  I'm proud of since I've been
constantly growing as an Airman and an adult since I arrived. Making staff sergeant
and completing my CCAF requirements are my biggest accomplishments right
now.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Meeting new people and helping them in their time of need.

How do you apply the wing commander's principles of 'passion, proficiency
and professionalism'?

I'm passionate about my job and make sure my patients get the best care
possible. I'm also passionate about my career, so I take the steps necessary
to advance and grow. I have to be proficient at my job, otherwise my patients
wouldn't be taken care of and I wouldn't feel fulfilled about the job I do.
I need to be professional because my patients deserve respect and deserve to
feel they're in good hands, but also because I represent the Air Force.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My fiance inspires me because he works hard at everything he does. He
doesn't "sweat the small things." He learns, improves and moves on from the
daily lessons and setbacks that we all endure in military life. He is  also
a great leader who doesn't shy from responsibility and wants nothing but the
best for his team. He has taught me to see all sides of any issue or problem
and has helped me find solutions. I strive daily to be a better NCO because
of people like him.

What's the first thing that made you think Grand Forks Air Force Base was a
cool place other than the temperature or weather?

The great people of the MDG that welcomed me here in cold, cloudy January
and took me in as a part of their family.
