A building will be dedicated to a fallen Airman Friday during a ceremony here tomorrow at 9 a.m.

The Warrior Professional Development building will be renamed the Walker Professional Development Center in honor of Chief Master Sgt. Harry Walker who passed away last year. The building will showcase Chief Walker's contribution to the Air Force as a first sergeant, career assistance advisor and superintendent.

Chief Walker was known for his professionalism and comforting demeanor towards Airmen and their families. His commitment to the wing and Air Force were evident through his involvement in the Top 3, a senior NCO professional organization, the Air Force Sergeants' Association, 0-0-1-3, Airmen Against Drunk Driving and his continued support to every first term Airman Class and Professional enhancement seminar while serving as career assistance advisor.

"Chief Walker's actions are still felt on a daily basis across Grand Forks Air Force Base," said Master Sgt. Shannon Wall, former First Term Airman Center NCOIC. "His memory will go on to inspire new Airmen as they transition through the Walker Professional Development Center."
