Space Development Agency, ND congressional leaders celebrate the

Derek Tournear, Space Development Agency director, and Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), unveil the SDA sign during a Space Development Agency ribbon-cutting ceremony June 28, 2022, at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. Grand Forks AFB was selected as the future home of Space Development Agency’s first ground operations and integration center, which will operate and control multiple-layer satellite operations for Tranche 1 of the National Defense Space Architecture. Space Development Agency is recognized as the Department of Defense’s constructive disruptor for space acquisition and will accelerate delivery of needed space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding and operation of the National Defense Space Architecture.
