Warriors of the North set to host relay in support of Wounded Airman Program

The Warriors of the North are preparing to host the 2015 Grand Forks AFB 12-Hour Relay on July 24, 2015, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the outdoor track on Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D. The relay’s main sponsor is Chapter 964 of the Air Force Sergeants Association. AFSA is a non-profit professional military organization whose mission is to advocate for improved quality of life and economic fairness that will support the well-being of the Total Air Force (Air Force active-duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve Command) enlisted personnel and their families. Air Force Instruction 36-2618, The Air Force Enlisted Force Structure Section 4.1.12 states enlisted Airmen are to, “promote esprit de corps and foster good community relations by actively participating in and supporting professional organizations as well as unit, base, and Air Force events.
